Balance

Symmetrical Balance
  • When something can be split right down the middle and when folded over still looks exactly the same on both sides

  Balance by color
  • There are an even amount of green and whites in this room to achieve balance

Balance by value
  • Different values of green and yellow achieve balance in this photo

Balance by pattern

  • The even amount of shapes and pattern (circles, and triangles)

Balance by texture

  • Smooth textures throughout this design give the whole room balance

Balance by position

  • Without this fish bowl being in the perfect position it clearly wouldn't be balanced
